“He’s into some shady stuff… nothing he does is legal and if he has it his way nothing you will do will be legal either. i wonder how he got all those scratches….”. That’s the description of Butch on Team Meat’s Blog. He is the final character reveal from Edmund McMillan and Tommy Refenes, before we get some actual information on the game itself.
Tracy, Frank, Beanies and Tinkles preceeded the reveal of the more menacing, cat-burglar looking, Butch…the cat-burglar quip had to be made. Had to.
From here on out, Team Meat will be revealing aspects of the design, the music that’s featured in Mew-Genics and what platforms it will release on. Maybe I’m reading into things, but McMillan insinuates that it will be coming to numerous systems. The developer’s struggle with Microsoft whilst Super Meat Boy launched on XBLA was well documented in Indie Game: The Movie, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Mew-Genics won’t come to 360, but who knows?
Could we be seeing Team Meat’s first jump on to a PlayStation console, or maybe the studio will finally get onto a Nintendo system after Super Meat Boy was originally meant to appear on WiiWare. As soon as we know, you’ll know.
