Get Ready to go to Mars with Worms Revolution

by on November 5, 2012

Get Ready to go to Mars with Worms RevolutionTeam 17 – the British-based developers behind long-running, fan favourite game Worms – have announced that the second pack of downloadable content for the title will be going live this week.

The game was a re-birth of sorts for the series – ignoring the three-dimensional missteps that have been taken in recent years, and going back to the basics of what made the series great – whilst also including some clever new additions such as different Worm classes and dynamic water. In another new move that will be boldly stepping into a new Frontier for Worm-kind  the DLC pack will add on a raft of extra features, which will add some longevity to both your single player and multiplayer experiences.

The Worms Revolution Mars Pack DLC will feature:

  • New Campaign Missions. 5 new single player campaign missions set in the new Mars theme.
  • Mars Theme. A stunning new Mars theme for Wormsâ„¢ Revolution that can be used in local and online matches.
  • 4 New Weapons.  Buffalo, Poison Gun, Lightning Strike and the brand new Crate Strike utility.
  • Mars Themed Customisation. 2 new trinkets (Crystal and Alien Skull), 2 new accessories (Space Helmet and Alien Deely Boppers), 1 new gravestone (Spaceship) and a new Mars soundbank.
  • Voice Over Talent. Matt Berry reprises his role as Don Keystone, the unseen narrator who will guide you through the 5 new missions.
  • New Achievements/Trophies
The new pack will be priced at £3.19 / $4.99 / €3.99 on the PlayStation Network, 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade and £3.99 / $4.99 / €4.99 on PC via Steam. See some new screenshots of the DLC below:
