Konami has announced the details for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s Limited Edition and pre-order incentives. Firstly, the Limited Edition sounds like a decent purchase for the true collectors out there. As well as the game, the Limited Edition includes an exclusive ca. 30cm figurine of the blonde ninja wearing white armour. Players will be able to don the same garb as the desk ornament in the game, with the DLC code that comes in the Limited Edition box. When slashing enemies as White Armour Raiden, you’ll also be able to carry more life rations. This will be available in Europe for €99.95 and can be purchased by UK residents in Zavvi stores nationwide.
Those that pre-order the game will be able to choose from two special steelbook cases, which also contains some added downloadable content. One of them has an illustration of Raiden on the cover, courtesy of Rising’s Character Concept artist Yoji Shinkawa, and includes a code that unlocks Raiden’s Inferno Armour – which allows him to carry more throwing weapons. The Shinkawa designed steelbook is exclusively available at GAME in the UK.
The other steel book features an image of Raiden on the cover and includes DLC to download Raiden Commando Armour – which enables him to carry around a few extra projectiles. This will be available at independent video game retailers.
Formerly ridiculed for being “girly” and whiny, Raiden’s second bat at being a protagonist has people intrigued for various reasons. The fact that Platinum is involved is a big one. It’ll be interesting to see a brand new Metal Gear legacy can be created with Rising.

How's things? I'm the video guy and would love if you'd watch the things I do like Debatable and For Your Amusement. I spend the majority of my days explaining why The Wire is the greatest TV show ever and clamouring for a Pop-Punk revival(c. 1994) whilst singing in my best Axl Rose-esque voice. Do not say professional wrestling is “fake” around me or, he’ll bore you with, what I like to call, “the risks they take”. Henrik Larsson is my hero.
