Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask Hits the e-Shop This Week Alongside Heavy Fire and Mighty Bomb Jack
Fans of Level-5’s ridiculously popular Professor Layton… series who live outside of Japan can now rejoice, as the fifth game in the series, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, is heading to the Nintendo e-Shop this week.
The sequel to last year’s …and The Last Spectre, The Miracle Mask sees Layton and his assistant Emily Altava and understudy Luke Triton on the case of the Masked Gentleman, who has a nasty habit of turning people to stone. The lovable mix of taxing puzzles and compelling exploration are all present and correct, and followers of the series will lap it up. Check out the trailer for a taste of things to come, and be sure to come back and read our review tomorrow.
Also released on the eShop this week is the 3D version of the bestselling WiiWare game of 2011, Teyon’s Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D, a rail shooter available on the 3DS that sees you join up with an elite military unit and fight dastardly terrorists in the Middle East.
And if terrorists and cartoonish mysteries don’t rock your boat, there’s always the bomb-collecting platforming madness of Mighty Bomb Jack to keep you occupied. All three games are available this week, with Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask priced at £39.99, and Heavy Fire and Mighty Bomb Jack priced at £4.99.
