ToeJam & Earl Are Coming To XBLA and PSN in November

Well, funk me. It’s ToeJam & Earl!…That was too easy, but had to done. As part of the Sega vintage Collection, red and orange aliens are making their way back to consoles this November. MegaDrive titles, ToeJam & Earl and ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron will be available on 7th November via PSN and XBLA. You’ll be able to get both games separately on PlayStation Network for £3.69, or on Xbox LIVE Arcade in a bundle for 800 Microsoft Points.

For those that might be too young, the original ToeJam & Earl came out in 1991 and saw players assuming the role of said aliens as they’ve crashed on Earth and need to collect pieces of their spaceship so that they can head back to their home planet, Funkotron. Naturally enough, the sequel, which released in PAL territories in 1994, saw the lads arrive back on Funkotron, but with Earth folk on their ship. The aim of the sequel was to send all of the pesky humans back to where they came from.

Some of you may remember the Xbox sequel from ’03, but it was the MegaDrive where the three-legged red chap and rotund orange fella made their mark. These re-releases will also have trophy and achievement support and online co-op. Right now, we’re not too sure if the games will have couch co-op, but fingers crossed that they will.
