Rayman Legends Now Delayed Until Q1 2013

One of the sleeper hits from last year was Rayman Origins. The game was sublime in almost every conceivable way. It played brilliantly, had a majestic look and one of the best soundtracks of last year. When Rayman Legends was announced to be a Wii U exclusive, many were considering picking up Nintendo’s next-gen console on day dot, specifically for the limbless wonder. However, today’s news might change that.

The platformer has now been delayed until Q1 2013, as Ubisoft has said they are “taking the time to make sure [they] deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds [fans] expectations”. More details are set to come to the fore soon, but up until this bit of disheartening info, Rayman Legends was set to be a launch title on the Wii U.

I don’t think anyone was under the impression that Rayman Legends was going to be the killer app for Wii U on launch, but it could’ve sealed the deal for some that were on the fence.
