The Angry Birds Invade Real Life in Trilogy Launch TrailerIn hindsight, when coming up with ideas for fun, addictive mobile games, giving people the opportunity to slingshot different coloured birds with various explosive properties into the smug faces of fortified pigs must have seemed like a bit of a no-brainer. Granted, there will have been a few raised eyebrows and the odd murmur of “Double-yoo-tee-eff?”, but that’s true of any perfectly bonkers idea.

Besides, the ridiculous success of the truly free-to-play Angry Birds titles cannot be denied. Spawning several spin-offs, a family board game, an upcoming movie, a host of immitators and a real life Angry Birds field in a Chinese theme park, it’s a global phenom that rose from a simple physics game.

But no success goes un-cashed, and now the Angry Birds Trilogy is heading to consoles as a full collection with an extra 19 levels and full trophy/achievement support.

Angry Birds is developed by Rovio Mobile and published for consoles by Activision. It will be available on September 25th.
