Konami and Platinum games have released a new trailer and a set of screenshots and artwork for upcoming Metal Gear Solid spin-off title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
The five-minute trailer shows REVENGEANCE star Raiden, protecting an African Prime Minister during a peace-keeeping visit. A rogue PMC (Private Military Company, as introduced in METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots) attacks the party, and the trailer moves on to showcase the tasks that await the sword-wielding hero. New gameplay elements are shown, as the trailer shows Raiden destroying CCTV cameras to avoid detection, and hacking into enemy AI units in order to control them and stealthily eliminate foes from afar.
The trailer also showcases the stunning boss fights that punctuate the game, and introduces an as-yet-unseen adversaries such as Mistral – a female cyborg, engineered with more than a dozen arms.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be shown to all at the Eurogamer Expo this coming weekend, and gamers will be able to get to see the same demo that was shown last week at TGS – Making this weekend the first time that it will be shown outside of Japan.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in early 2013. A demo for Metal Gear Rising will be included in the upcoming Zone of the Enders HD release, then later released on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
If I'm not playing on a good Adventure Game - still longing for the long-past Golden Age of the genre, when Lucasarts and Sierra ruled supreme - you might find me searching for a local arcade, in the hopes that it still houses titles such as Sunset Riders or WindJammers.
