Sleeping Dogs Gets Hard-Boiled in New Gunplay Trailer
The old proverb says “Let Sleeping Dogs lie”. Well, I’m glad Square Enix didn’t let Sleeping Dogs lie, as the game that was formerly known as True Crime: Hong Kong when it was in development at Activision shapes up to be the summer blockbuster we’ve been waiting for.
After teasing us with snippets of Wei Shen’s exploits in trying to take down one of the biggest Triad gangs in Hong Kong, the latest trailer shows exactly how one man can take on an entire gang- by being the next Chow Yun-fat. Exhibiting the skill-set of a John Woo film’s protagonist, with slow-motion shooting, destructible environments and all manner of Gun-Fu.
Developed by United Front games, in collaboration with Square Enix London, Sleeping Dogs looks set to be a great open-world cop-drama, with all the violence and crazy stunts you could ask for. If you’re not excited for Sleeping Dogs yet, there’s still time for you to make your mind up over the game, as it doesn’t come out until the 17th of August.
