Nintendo Announce 3DS XL
Just 10 days after saying a new 3DS model would be very unlikely, Nintendo have revealed the 3DS XL.
The system will boost screens 90% larger than the original 3DS, with the top screen coming in at 4.88 inches and the touch screen at 4.18 inches.
Despite the increase in screen size the resolution will go unchanged; something that will change however is battery life. The original 3DS had a rather unimpressive 3-5 hours, the XL on the other hand will sport a slightly more healthy 5-8 hours.
Do you have an original 3DS, if so will you be tempted to upgrade? Or have you been waiting for an update like this before diving in?
The 3DS XL will hit Europe and Japan July 28th although no price has been confirmed, the US can expect it August 19th, and retail price has been set at $199.99.
