Kingdom Hearts 3D Welcomes Some Familiar Voice TalentThe 3DSĀ instalmentĀ of the massively popular Kingdom Hearts series, adds some well-known voice talent to it’s enormous cast of characters.

While SquareEnix have yet to release a Kingdom Hearts 3, Disney/SquareEnix fans have been blessed with tons of spinoffs over the years. The latest, Kingdom Hearts 3D (Dream Drop Distance) will be hitting European Nintendo 3DSes on July 20th Ā (a week before the US gets the game!).

While that’s still a little while off, SquareEnix have revealed some well-known actors to voice some of the game’s many characters. The names announced today include:

Leonard Nimoy ā€“ Best known for his role as Spock on Star Trek, Leonard Nimoy reprises his role asĀ Master Xehanort, the main antagonist of the KINGDOM HEARTS series and archenemy of Sora andĀ Riku.

Haley Joel Osment ā€“ Known for his role in the critically acclaimed The Sixth Sense, Haley Joel OsmentĀ returns to play Sora, the main protagonist in the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise, working to complete theĀ Mark of Mastery exam and become a true Keyblade Master.

David Gallagher ā€“ Remembered for his work on 7th Heaven, David Gallagher joins the cast again asĀ Riku, struggling to become a true Keyblade Master alongside his best friend, Sora.

Hayden Panettiere ā€“ Noted for her performance on Heroes, Hayden Panettiere returns to voice Xion, aĀ 14th member of Organization XIII, an organization that stands against Sora and his friends.

Jesse McCartney ā€“ Recording artist Jesse McCartney reprises his roles as the heroes, Roxas andĀ Ventus.

Quinton Flynn ā€“ Known best for his voice acting on Robot Chicken (and Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series), Quinton Flynn returns as Axel / Lea,Ā another member of Organization XIII.

I’ve always been impressed with casting choices in the Kingdom Hearts games – It looks like Kingdom Hearts 3D won’t change that.

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is available in Europe on July 20th, only on Nintendo 3DS
