So, we all knew that the MGS HD Collection was coming to the PS Vita already, but we didn’t have a release window for the stealthy adventure ’till now. Konami have revealed that the game is coming to Sony’s handheld this Summer. The only downside about this announcement is that is doesn’t contain the game that was originally on PSP, Peace Walker. Sad face.
But, the collection is still one with two terrific games in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Sons of Liberty has its detractors, but it still has superb gameplay. Snake Eater is an classic and should be experienced by everybody. Basically, there’s still some bang for your buck in this. As well as the HD loveliness and trophies, the games will incorporate some of the Vita’s touchscreen capabilities.
General Manager for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, Martin Schneider said, “The PlayStation Vita system will provide fans with an exciting new way to enjoy the METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection…We’re confident that users will be pleased with the new innovations Kojima Productions have implemented with the new PlayStation Vita iterations, offering a truly unique experience for this exciting new format.”
You’ll also be able to transfer…oh, sorry…transFAR game saves between the PS3 and Vita versions of the game…Oooooooooh, fancy.
How's things? I'm the video guy and would love if you'd watch the things I do like Debatable and For Your Amusement. I spend the majority of my days explaining why The Wire is the greatest TV show ever and clamouring for a Pop-Punk revival(c. 1994) whilst singing in my best Axl Rose-esque voice. Do not say professional wrestling is “fake” around me or, he’ll bore you with, what I like to call, “the risks they take”. Henrik Larsson is my hero.
