2K Games’ first entry into the military shooter genre has now got a date, and there’s also a new trailer with some information about a special Pre Order bonus.
Budge up CoD & Battlefield, the military FPS market is about to get a bit more crowded with Spec Ops: The Line, the newest contender for the title of Best Military FPS.
Released in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 & PC on June 26th, 2012; The Line is set in Dubai, where the playground of the wealthy has been decimated by freak sandstorms. In single-player mode, you will play as Captain Martin Walker, as he searches for Colonel John Conrad and his missing batallion, The Damned 33rd.
As well as a full single-player experience, Spec Ops: The Line will also offer a complete class-based multiplayer experience, complete with ranks and customisation options.
Those who preorder from participating retailers will instantly be given the FUBAR DLC pack, giving the following multiplayer bonuses:
Twice the amount of experience points will be awarded during the first week of play, enabling gamers to expedite character ranking.
The AK-47 weapon will unlock at rank one;The “Officer Class” will unlock at rank one. This character class includes several team-based advantages, such as reducing damage to teammates and increasing the effectiveness of other classes
Access to the “FUBAR Pack,” which contains exclusive accessories allowing players to customize their characters with unique and visually distinctive items.
