Square Enix were among the bigs guns showing off their latest titles at the Tokyo Game Show, so it is no surprise to hear that a few Final Fantasy related videos surfaced at the event. With Final Fantasy XIII-2 – a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII – set for release early next year, the world famous development house released two new trailers for the title in time for the game show. There is an individual trailer for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, each showing slightly different content.

Square are keen to point out that this is still early footage and full lip-synching will be added to the localised versions before their release next year. The company also revealed at TGS that they are planning future downloadable content for the new game. They plan to reveal further details concerning the DLC at a later point, and nothing is known as of yet. Finally, Square Enix can happily announce that “Charice”, a musical artist signed to Warner Bros. Records Inc., has been selected to sing the PAL theme song for the game, which is entitled “New World”.
