With the release date of Dance Central 2 – the sequel to the best-selling dancing title for Kinect – fast approaching, developers Harmonix are slowly leaking out information regarding more and more of the songs that will be featured on-disc for the title. This week, at PAX Prime in Seattle, the dev team have gone even further and named six new tracks that will be in the retail version of the game, which includes such monster grooves as “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot and “Yeah!” by Usher ft. Lil’ Jon & Ludacris. Harmonix like to make use of a variety of musical genres, and take music from different decades, to give their games a wide musical appeal – and judging by the full list of songs below, they are continuing that trend.

Harmonix have promised more songs will be unveiled closer to the date of retail release, as the full game will feature over forty tracks on the disc. And with their constant support for DLC, which they have shown both with the first Dance Central game and with the Rock Band Music Store, there are bound to be many more songs added at a later date for download. Whilst you ait for the new game, why not check out the recently-released cinematic trailer for the game, that introduces some of the new and returning dancers.

Dance Central will release on October 21st, exclusively for Kinect on xbox 360.
