Try Out Brink For Free This Weekend Over Steam
Bethesda Softworks have announced that for this weekend only, the Steam version of the first-person shooter Brink will be free to play, in celebration of QuakeCon – the U.S. based id Software annual convention which is also this weekend. Developed by Splash Damage, the faction-orientated shooter has divided critics. So now, anyone who wanted to get a taste of the game before, but didn’t want to shell out the retail price for it can now download and play both the main game and the recently-released Agents of Change DLC – with no charge.
Brink will then of course revert back to having a pricetag at 1pm PDT Sunday, 7th August in the U.S, or 9pm for us in the UK. Gamers who decide they like the game whilst playing this weekend can also benefit when buying the full title, as Steam are also offering a 50% discount on the game right now. And as if all of that wasn’t enough, gamers who buy Brink before August 8th at 10AM PDT will get the exclusive “The Anger” headwear, which can be worn by the Sniper whilst playing Team Fortress 2. With so many Brink offers going on, it seems like now is the perfect time to dip your toes into the water if you were wondering how the game played.
Brink is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. You can read our review of the title here.
