New Sonic Generations Trailer And Screenshots Unveiled

by on June 8, 2011

Back in April, SEGA and the Sonic Team announced that they were working on a new Sonic the Hedgehog game entitled Sonic Generations, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the little blue speedster. The unique aspect of the game is that players will be able to play as the classic looking 1991 Sonic, with his traditional control style, but also to be able to take control of the modern-day Sonic, with his upgraded abilities and more streamline image. Players will travel through many instantly-recognisable Sonic the Hedgehog environments, which have been lovingly re-created in High Definition, which allow for players to switch between 2D and 3D platforming sections.

To let us see more of the game in action, Sonic Team have released a new E3 trailer for Sonic Generations, which shows off the brand new Cityscape stage in both the classic 2D and modern 3D gameplay formats. On top of that, they have also released a batch of new images taken from the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, which was only recently announced.

So don’t slow down, keep pace with Sonic by checking out the new media below:
