Batman: Arkham City To Be A Solo Adventure
The director of Batman: Arkham City at Rocksteady GamesĀ – Sefton Hill – has announced that the next outing for the Dark Knight will not feature any multiplayer modes at all. Rather the company wanted to focus on producing a great, well-polished single player experience. He syas that the team did explore the possibilities of multiplayer functions, but felt that the time and resources needed for it would be better spent on making the single player game the best it could be.
This sequel is set eighteen months after the events of the first game, where – in order to deal with the huge criminal population – the Mayor (who is also the former warden of Arkham Asylum) has turned a portion of the city into a walled prison, policed by military contractors. Two-Face will be one of the main protagonists as will be Catwoman and the game will also see the return of ever-popular villains Harley Quinn and The Joker. When we reviewed the previous game in the series, Batman: Arkham Asylum back in 2009, we were very impressed and it scored 9/10. You can read that review here. So we are very excited about the new instalment and will provide you with all the latest news as soon as it is available.
Batman: Arkham City is due to be released inĀ October 2011Ā for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Check out the latest screenshots here.
