Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 remake has now shipped four million copies worldwide across all platforms. The news came via Twitter:

Resident Evil is by far Capcom’s best-selling IP with the announcement that the franchise has sold over 90 million copies worldwide. This latest update on the remake comes after Capcom’s announcement that Resident Evil 2, which launched on 25 January, shipped three million copies within the first week of launch.
