Earth Defense Force 5 localisation announced for PS4
Earth Defense Force 5 released last year on PS4 in Japan and while an Asia localisation with English was announced, we now have a full Western release happening.
The PlayStation (USA) YouTube channel has a localisation announcement trailer by D3 for PS4. One thing to note is that while PQube and XSEED localised the last few titles, this one seems to be done internally by D3. Watch the trailer below:
Pre-ordering the game nets you the following:
EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5 THEME
• Pure Decoy Launcher 16 variations set – A special decoy which will dance and sing in the battlefield.
• Volcanic Cracker – You can get the Wing Diver weapon and start using it from the beginning and you may only receive this weapon by pre-ordering the game.
• Powered Exoskeleton Nix: Gold Coat – A commander machine shining with gold which boarding is admitted only by an early recruit.
There is also a Deluxe Edition (digital) with the following:

All DLC is set to release by March 2019. The gameplay trailer says “coming soon”.
Earth Defense Force 5 will “release soon” for PlayStation 4. There’s no word on a physical release or an EU release as of this writing.
