Animal Crossing Mobile Direct announced for 7 AM on Wednesday
Nintendo just announced an Animal Crossing Mobile Direct.
This direct will only showcase the mobile Animal Crossing game and not feature anything about a Switch or 3DS game according to the Tweet from the USA Animal Crossing account.

The UK Animal Crossing Mobile Direct will air at 7 AM UK time on October 25.

As of now we don’t know whether this will tie into any other Animal Crossing game or what the functionality will be. Given how Animal Crossing is on 3DS, those games would work as a direct port but we will see how the reveal goes in the direct.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf is available on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
