Blizzard Entertainment unveils the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles
Blizzard is aiming to create the hot destination for eSports with the Blizzard Arena opening in October.
The Arena is located in Burbank Studios and hosts a multitude of sound stages and control rooms, it’s designed to host events all year round, featuring a retail store that can rotate stock based on the events being held at the time. To kick things off the Arena will play host to the Overwatch Contenders Season One Playoffs, these will take place from the seventh to the eighth of October, and will mark the culmination of a series of America and Euopean events to determine the top contenders from each region.
Shortly after the Arena will see the Hearthstone Championship Tour’s Summer Championship take over from October thirteenth for a whole weekend. This will set the stage for a further tournamentearly next year.
Folling that will see the top Heroes of the Storm and World of Warcraft Arena players take to the arena to battle it out for supremacy between November third and fourth.
