Super Mario Run launch notifications now available on Android

Nintendo of America have announced that those with Android devices can be notified when their latest mobile title, Super Mario Run, launches on the platform.

While the company did not share any release date, Android users can register their interest on the Google Play Store and be the first to download when the game does inevitably launch.

Super Mario Run launched on December 15 on Apple devices to good reviews, but faced some criticism from consumers who felt the £7.99 price tag to unlock the full game was a tad steep. That didn’t stop it from becoming the fastest downloaded iOS game in history though, hitting over 40m downloads in the first four days on launch.
