Nintendo have announced that their inky third-person shooter Splatoon has sold over one million copies in Europe.
The news was announced this morning via Nintendo of Europe’s Twitter account, accompanied with a new illustration by Art Director Seita Inoue:

Splatoon was released last May on Wii U and received a pretty positive response, with our guy Nick giving it a commendable 7/10Â in his review. The game was the fastest-selling new franchise on the Wii U in the United Kingdom upon release, and by December last year it had sold over 4.06 million copies worldwide. We’d like to see that figure now!
