Rock Band 4 Standalone Now Available for Pre-Order, New Tracks Announced

Harmonix Music Systems and Mad Catz Interactive have announced that pre-orders for the standalone version of Rock Band 4 are now available at select retailers worldwide.

Starting today, players can pre-order the software-only versions of Rock Band 4 on PS4 and Xbox One: perfect for those whole plan to use their previous generation controllers with the new title.

If players wish to carry their instruments over to this generation, Xbox One owners can purchase a game-and-adapter package that comes with a Legacy Game Controller Adapter which will allow for the use of most Xbox 360 controllers. Sony loyals have it easier though, as the PlayStation 4 edition supports most legacy Rock Band wireless controllers with no additional hardware.

“By offering game-only options and supporting seamless compatibility with previous-generation music game controllers, we’re thrilled to be offering the best value for longtime music gaming fans this holiday,” said Harmonix CEO, Steve Janiak.

Also announced today are additional tracks that will appear on the Rock Band 4 disc, including:

  • Arctic Monkeys – “Arabella”
  • The Both – “Milwaukee”
  • Cake – “Short Skirt/Long Jacket”
  • Little Big Town – “Little White Church”
  • Lucius – “Turn It Around”
  • The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – “The Impression That I Get”
  • The Protomen – “Light Up The Night”
  • Soundgarden – “Superunknown”
  • Tijuana Sweetheart – “Pistol Whipped”
