It would seem that Dice’s much anticipated return of Star Wars Battlefront, due out later this year, will be coming first to Xbox One.
It’s yet to be known in what capacity Battlefront will be arriving on Microsoft’s console first, whether just the opening hours of the game will be playable through EA’s subscription service, EA Access, if the Xbox One will have some kind of exclusivity with Alphas and Betas, or whether the game will actually be a timed exclusive, in the same vein as Tomb Raider.
There has been no official confirmation from EA or Microsoft on the matter, and the news comes from Xbox’s marketing lead, Aaron Greenberg, responding to a question posed to him on Twitter:
Whatever the case may be, Battlefront is still one of the year’s most anticipated titles, with Dice set to release gameplay footage for the first time this week.
