Sony today announced that the much loved, and award winning, music streaming service Spotify will be coming to the PS4 and PS3 this spring, to 41 international markets. In a deal which sees Spotify being the exclusive partner of PlayStation Music, a ‘new music destination’.
The partnership will allow you, PlayStation owners, to play your favourite music and created playlists directly through your console.
Most excitingly, however, is the fact that on the PS4 you’ll be able to listen to Spotify and play games simultaneously. It has not yet been confirmed if the feature will be coming to the PS3 however.
Sony have also claimed that ‘more great features’ will be revealed in the run up to launch.
The service will also be coming to Xperia phones and tablets.
The launch of Spotify will see the closure of Music Unlimited in all 19 of its territories, on March 29th 2015.
