EA has today unveiled EA Access, a new subscription service on the Xbox One that gives subscribers access to some of EA’s biggest titles.
A beta for the service has launched to a limited number of players today and gives subscribers unlimited access to FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4. More games will be added to the service “soon”.
Subscribing to the service also has other perks such as 10% off digital EA purchases on the Xbox One whether that be digital games or in game items such as FIFA Ultimate Team Points. Subscribers will also receive trials of EA’s biggest games 5 days before they are released. The following trials have been confirmed so far: Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
You will be able to subscribe to EA Access for $4.99 per month or pay an annual fee of $29.99 (UK pricing has not been announced). The service has also been described as a partnership with Microsoft, so don’t expect to see it on other platforms any time soon.
