Japanese gamers may still be waiting for the PS4 to launch but the PS Vita Slim model has been available over there for months. Now however the Slim Vita is heading to UK shelves, whilst the Japanese still have a while to wait for the PS4 launch.
Sony announced earlier today that the PS Vita Slim, or PCH-2000 to give the device its proper name, will launch in the UK on February 7th and will retail at a suggested selling price of £180.
The device its self is 20% lighter and 15% thinner than its predecessor but it is missing the beautiful OLED screen, settling for a LCD screen instead. Perhaps the biggest advantage of the new model is the 1GB of built in storage, it may not be a lot but it is a welcome addition.
Also reveled was the PlayStation Vita Indie Game Mega Pack, a collection of 10 Indie Games that will be sold as a bundle. Two different bundle types will be on offer, one that comes with all 10 games and a 4GB memory card for €24.99, and one that comes with all 10 games, a 4GB memory card and a PS Vita system for €199.99.
The 10 games that are included in the bundle are:
Alien Breed
Thomas Was Alone
Velocity Ultra
Men’s Room Mayhem
