Velocity Ultra is coming to PC before Christmas! Having originally been a Vita exclusive developers FuturLab have decided to team with Curve Studios to bring the game to PC.
Velocity Ultra currently sits in the top 10 highest critically rated Vita games on Metacritic and our very own Colm Ahern gave the game a 9/10 in his review earlier this year.
Curve Studios have said they are working closely with FuturLab to maintain the high quality of the game during the transition to PC.
Curve Studios are getting somewhat of a reputation for porting games to and from PlayStation consoles, having previously ported both Thomas Was Alone and Lone Survivor. Hopefully they will do just a good a job when they port Velocity Ultra over to Steam.
Jason Perkins, Managing Director at Curve Studios was on hand to speak about working on Velocity Ultra.
“Bringing Velocity Ultra to the PC is a project we’re really proud to be involved with,”
“Vertical shooters are a genre that has traditionally been under-served on the PC – despite a huge demand for interesting, unique shooters on the platform – and Velocity is one of the best ever made.”
