Famous for the cult classic mobile game Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Capybara Games’ latest release keeps a similar graphical style, but looks to be far more insane and hilarious.
Super Time Force is a “single player co-operative” game for Xbox Live Arcade, where players control a team of heroes in a classically styled side-scrolling shooter with a twist: While each character has their own unique abilities, all of them are able to rewind time and play alongside with the rewound version of yourself, allowing you to effectively double your firepower.
It’s also pretty mad as well, as this trailer suggests:
It looks absolutely crazy, and looks like the kind of game that Treasure were known for in the 90’s. It’s very reminiscent of Gunstar Heroes, and the whole thing looks like it could be a great twist on a long-forgotten genre.
Super Time Force will be released on Xbox Live Arcade by the end of the year.
