In one of those wonderful ‘games we never thought we’d see but now we will’ stories, 3DS JRPG Bravely Default has now been officially confirmed for a European release — and in an enhanced edition to boot. Cheers, Squeenix!
In an enhanced version known as Bravely Default: For The Sequel in Japan (a subtitle which impressively succeeds in making that title even worse), European gamers will be treated to scrubbed-up visuals, a more user-friendly interface, additional difficulty settings and options to fiddle with, and characters who now animate and emote during conversations. Nintendo’s first Bravely Default trailer geared towards the European crowd is below.
My snarky comments about the title aside, the game really does look rather lovely. I’m very pleased to hear it’s heading over to our neck of the woods. That English voice acting though? I’ll stick to subtitled Japanese, thanks.
