Ubisoft have announced two new Assassin’s Creed games – a HD remake of Vita title AC: Liberation for PC, PS4 and Xbox 360 and a smart phone and tablet title called Pirates.
The Vita port coming next year will rework the graphical engine of course, but also AI, audio and facial animation.
15 new missions will also be added to account for the loss of some puzzles that hinged on the use of the Vita’s touchscreen.
A trailer for the new game was released and can be watched below.
Developed at Ubisoft Paris, Assassin’s Creed Pirates will focus on the real-time naval battles that were so popular in AC III and which will feature heavily in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
The game will follow the story of Alonzo Batilla “as he rises through the ranks of the fearful pirates of the golden age”, and is coming to “high-end smartphones and tablets” later this year.
