Rayman Legends and The Legend of Zelda are This Week’s Nintendo Download Highlights
Let’s be honest, why would you want to release anything this week? Rayman Legends is finally hitting shelves, both physical and digital, and it’s a platforming beaut, as explained in our review. With this in mind it’s unsurprising that this week is a little light on new offerings when it comes to Nintendo downloads.
Not to say there isn’t anything else. Retro fans are catered for with a spot of Zelda and some Ninja Gaiden, while troubled parents might find themselves badgered into purchasing new Disney tie-in Planes for their youngsters.
There are other things coming out then, as you can see below, but you’re probably best off grabbing Rayman…

The Glade of Dreams is in trouble once again! During a 100-year nap, the nightmares multiplied and spread, creating new monsters even more terrifying than before! These creatures are the stuff of legend… Dragons, giant toads, sea monsters, and even evil luchadores. With the help of Murfy, Rayman and Globox awake and must now help fight these nightmares and save the Teensies!

Get over your fear of heights and take to the skies for a daring mid-air adventure that will test your pilot skills and your sense of humour. After a few flight lessons with Skipper, throttle forward over the world of Cars, just like Disney’s hit movie Planes. Fly solo or fly with a wingman to complete flight objectives or challenge each other to an Air Rally race or a Balloon Pop challenge. And if you want to stretch your wings, get airborne with a leisurely Free Flight. Just don’t look down! - The Legend of Zelda (Wii U Virtual Console) – £3.49

Many untouched caverns still exist in the world, waiting for the one brave enough to explore them. Within them lie vast troves of treasure and rare artifacts. Become Tyrol the treasure hunter, collect treasures and escape from the caverns. Be warned though, there are creatures lurking in the depths of the caverns and the element of nature is against you. Use your pickaxe wisely so you do not get yourself trapped and lost forever within the darkness of the caverns. Can Tyrol collect enough treasure in order to win the heart of the woman he loves?
