Super Smash Bros. Melee Smashes Records at EVO
EVO 2013 saw a live stream of Super Smash Bros. Melee which garnered a staggering 100,000+ views – making it the most-watched fighting game video of all time.
It nearly didn’t happen either – given that Nintendo tried to stop it from happening only to U-turn on their decision and allow it to go ahead.
Evo founder Tom Cannon was understandably chuffed with all of this and couldn’t contain himself on Twitter:
