Only last week, Konami gave us a detailed run-down of what to expect from the next game in their yearly football series, PES 2014. It was also revealed that the game is only being developed for current-generation games consoles.
Konami and the PES team were obviously at E3 this week, showing off their latest game – and have released a new trailer accordingly. This new video shows us some of the fancy ball skills that players can expect to be performing with the new in-game engine. It has also been confirmed that – as well as not being produced for Xbox One or PlayStation 4 – PES 2014 will not be coming to Wii U in any shape or form.
This is another blow to the Nintendo console unfortunately, but Konami are seemingly not doing themselves any favours either by skipping the next generation with this game – giving the initiative directly to EA Sports, who are developing FIFA 14 on the new consoles. Or perhaps it is better that they don’t rush out a version that isn’t ready? What do you think?
