PS4 pre-orders have overtaken Xbox One pre-orders around the world following this week’s E3 press conferences.
Bestseller lists on both the UK and US Amazon websites put the PS4 top with the Xbox One second or third behind PS3 exclusive The Last of Us.
Xbox One pre-orders were on top going into E3 because the console’s unveiling was so close to the event itself.
On Monday Microsoft outlined their software lineup for the Xbox One and announced a £429/$499 price point for their console.
Hours later Sony announced a £349/$399 price for the PS4 and announced that their next-gen console would support the used games market and would not require an internet connection to work.
Obviously Sony are currently enjoying the largest share of E3 goodwill from gamers but the next-gen battle is far from over.
