This turned out to be Ryse: Son of Rome.
This Xbox One exclusive was demoed on-stage and featured a section of gameplay that was full of bombast. There was no hud – just a main objective on the top-right.
The hack and slash title did also feature some QTEs. One section saw the player march their squad toward a tower and act in unison. They shielded, moved and acted as one.
The following bit saw the main character head command his squad to capture a catapult before dismembering more enemies.
Marius Titus is the main character who is a Roman commander and the game will be available on Xbox One, at launch.
