From the minds that brought you Runes of Magic, Dragon’s Prophet is an upcoming MMORPG where the world is full of, you guessed it, frogs…no, sorry…dragons, dragons.
Developed by Runewaker Entertainment and co-published by Infernum and Deep Silver, Dragon’s Prophet allows players to begin their journey from two different areas – Bakra and Satuma. With a level cap of 30 and over 200 quests to complete, this could be one to watch for fans of the genre.
Like a brochure from your local holiday bookmakers, Infernum has broken down many of the elements that players can expect to encounter if they choose to begin Dragon’s Prophet from Satuma;
Satuma is located in Mangard which forms the western part of Auratia. This large area consists of a wide plains surrounded by high mountains. Numerous battles were fought here during the First Dragon War, each changing the area a bit more, eventually turning it in a massive natural lake where all the main rivers in Mangard meet.
Water is an important element in the life of Satuma. Many villages are populated by fishermen, using the vast resources of the surrounding lakes and rivers. The village of Hunak is no different, except it is located just above the Kylar Abyss, the point where all the rivers in Satuma meet. To the east of Hunak lies an ancient and lush forest, the Avanah Forest. This large and flourishing forest is the main source of construction materials for the village. However, it also shelters a great threat, looming over the nearby villages: the Forest Giants, fierce and terrible creatures, which never miss an opportunity to attack lumberjacks foolish enough to venture themselves too deep in the forest.
The Avanah Forest is not the only place where danger awaits our players. In the northwest part of Satuma a fortified city was built halfway up a mountain by the famous and sly General Deyarka who once led an evil army during the First Dragon War. The city was badly damaged in battle and captured by Osira forces afterwards, but the ruins are now home to another species of sub-humans, namely the Wolfmen, who are the reason why the City of Deyarka is now called the Wolfman Stronghold.
Players will have a difficult, but rewarding, time exploring Satuma, trying to find clues about the traitors who attacked them and what their motivations were. Many abandoned dungeons await players and up to four of their friends for a group experience with different levels of difficulty. But they will for sure appreciate the hospitality of Tahkar, in the northern part of Satuma. This picturesque little town is famous for its great hospitality and the large number of hotels it harbors. In order to entice as many customers as possible, the inn owners here spare no effort to outdo each other with colorful signs and delicious food, making it a welcome place for our worn adventurers to rest.
