SEGA were the big spenders at the THQ auction and acquired the wonderfully talented Canadian studio, Relic Entertainment.
Originally expected to be released earlier this year, Sega has announced that Company of Heroes 2 is coming to PC on June 25, in North America and Europe.
Relic have apparently been using the extra time they’ve had to make Company of Heroes 2 as good as they possibly can – but, they’d say that. With realistic destructibility, the dynamic sight system in TrueSight and the ColdTech weather system, Relic are aiming big with their next title in the ever popular series.
Executive Producer on Company of Heroes 2 Jonathan Dowdeswell sounds pretty excited to be working with Sonic The Hedgehog’s parents as he said;
“Our acquisition by SEGA has given us the chance to work with a new partner that has a great track record of working with long standing PC franchises, It gives us great confidence to know that we have a well aligned team working to bring the best experience we can to gamers around the world.”
Greg Wilson – Producer on the game – said that some details on Company of Heroes 2’s closed beta are expected in the near future. As soon as we hear anything, we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
