Jeri Ellsworth has been a member of Valve’s research and development team for years, but earlier this morning she tweeted that she had been fired.
She wrote quite simply, “Yup. Got fired today. Time for new exciting projects.”
Ellsworth was part of the team working on Valve’s  big plans for the future, including the Steam Box.
Her work was largely focused on controller designs for Valve’s plans to bring PC gaming into the living room.
Why she was fired has yet to become clear.
