Activision have just sent over details of the upcoming Revolution DLC pack for Call of Duty Black Ops II, which will get a period of exclusivity on Xbox 360.
So you’ve been playing Black Ops II nonstop since it’s November release, and you are starting to find the maps a bit samey. Well, have no fear, for Activision and Treyarch are here to sooth your gaming woes with the Revoltion DLC pack. Due for release on Xbox 360 January 29th, with other platforms getting their fix “at a later date”. Sorry PC and PS3 users. (sadface)
So what will you get for your hard earned Microsoft Points on January 19th? Well, to start with there are four brand new multiplayer maps, an all new Zombies level, a special bonus weapon and to top it all off, a new Zombies game mode.
“With Black Ops II, the team set out to challenge assumptions about what fans should expect from Call of Duty, and there’s no exception with Revolution,” said Mark Lamia, Treyarch’s Studio Head. “It starts with the massive amount of content that Revolution offers: four distinct multiplayer maps, an entirely new Zombies map and new Zombies mode, and a new bonus weapon. But quantity is just the start — it’s the variety of new gameplay options in Revolution that sets it apart, making it our most compelling DLC offering to date, and a must-play experience for Call of Duty fans.”
The maps are titled “Downhill”, “Hydro”, “Mirage” and “Grind”, with the new Zombie map coming in the form of “Die Rise”, a rather scary looking apartment block.
Enough of my waffling on, check out what the guys from Treyarch have to say about the Revolution DLC pack in the video, below.
