Cyperpunk 2077 Trailer Incoming Next Week

The announcement of a new game from The Witcher devs, CD Projekt RED, was enough to get us salivating back in October, but since then there has been little word from the Polish studio about Cyberpunk 2077.

Well, according to VG247, Cyberpunk 2077’s PR rep Tom Ohle tweeted this recently:

When pressed for information regarding the reveal date, all he would utter was the vague response of “Next-weekish”. So, with that to go on, expect your eyes to be dazzled over the next few days.

Based on the pen-and-paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020 by Mike Pondsmith, 2077 will take place in a dark futuristic world with more than a hint of Deus Ex about it. Freedom of choice, character augmentation and a strong dystopian future theme have our spines a-tingling and frankly, we can’t wait to get our eyes on some gameplay footage – though given that this is the first trailer it’s unlikely to contain anything in-game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to launch on the major platforms some time in 2013.
