DmC Gets Cool New Pre-Release Smartphone App

Capcom have today announced an exciting mobile phone app which ties in with their forthcoming Devil May Cry title. Known as The Eye of Dante, this free app has been developed in collaboration with Augmented Reality experts Aurasma and promises to reward users with in-game currency that can be redeemed when DmC drops on January 25th 2013.

What do you need to do to get this, I hear you ask? Well first of all you need to join The Order – the organisation within the DmC universe formed to take down the horrible demonic foes. You can do this by visiting TheOrderBlog.net.

Once you get the app, you are given tasks and quests to complete to attain specific goals and scores. Completing these successfully will unlock rewards within the main game once it is released, including the famous Red Orbs – as well as unlocking ringtones and wallpapers for your dog and bone.

As well as this, there are augmented reality features that allow you to use your smartphone to discover hidden DmC-related messages in the real world, just the same way Dante can see through the lies and propaganda of the demons in the game.

If that wasn’t enough, you can also use it to personalise photos taken using your phone, and upload them to Facebook or Twitter.
