Pokemon Go Halloween Event starts October 17

Niantic and The Pokemon Company International have today announced that their Halloween Event for Pokemon Go will go live from October 17, 2019. Players can look forward to a range of in-game events and rewards. Firstly players can rescue a new range of Shadow Pokemon from Team Rocket‘s clutches. Expect to see Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Electrabuzz and more at Pokestops.

Players should also be on the lookout for Yamask, the shadow-like Pokemon. There’s even the potential of nabbing shiny versions of Yamask too. There is also an in-game event for players to enjoy. Running from October 17, 2019, through to November 1, 2019, the event boasts additional features, see below for more information:

• More Ghost- and Dark-type Pokémon appearing in the wild, in Eggs, and in raids
• Pokémon wearing creepy-cute Halloween costumes appearing in the wild and in raids
• The debut of the Pitch-Black Pokémon, Darkrai, who will be appearing in five-star raids
• Frightful and fun Field Research tasks
