There’s not long to wait for the release of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint but before that you can try it out in the upcoming open beta. From the 26-29 September you can give Breakpoint a try on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. If you fancy pre-loading the beta you can do so from September 24 from 11am BST on PS4, Uplay and Xbox and 4pm BST on the Epic Store.
The open beta offers some new and exclusive content that wasn’t included with the closed beta. You can now try out 3 additional main story missions and try out two additional regions, New Argyll and Infinity, in addition to the four regions from the closed beta. There’s also the option of competitive Elimination matches in the PvP mode, Ghost War. There will be 4 PvP tailored maps for these 4v4 matches: the PMC Camp, Port, Cold War Bunker and Habor.
In addition there will be 4 new daily missions, 12 in total, to complete over the course of the open beta.
Not only is there an open beta but there is also a live action trailer featuring rapper Lil’ Wayne. The trailer, titled “Squad Up ft. Lil’ Wayne, was directed by David Leitch, of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Deadpool 2 fame, and can be found just below. “More than anything, the key point of all action is to tell a story, and in this spot we’re telling a story with these characters in the world of the game and also the characters in their worlds at home,” said David Leitch. “We wanted to make sure we have these distinct characters that jump off the page and that the action defines them in a real particular way. We have this fun juxtaposition with the different characters and their voices too, which is a great conceit.”
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be available on October 4 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and UPlay. Breakpoint will also launch on Stadia.
