Bethesda have teamed up with Rebel Distillers to bring you DOOM Bone Vodka

If you were after a bit of odd gaming news today allow me to present to you DOOM branded boned infused vodka, yes, really.

Bethesda Softworks have partnered with Rebel Distillers to bring you a special vodka infused with ethically sourced beef bones and other organic ingredients, although why you’d want to drink vodka that’s been made with bones I have no idea. Rebel Distillers themselves have partnered with London Butcher The Ginger Pig to ensure that the ingredients they use are of the highest quality and locally sourced, ensuring that this vodka has a premium price of 345 for a 700ml bottle.

If you’re after a review you probably won’t get one from us, but if you’re interested and you want an idea of what to expect when it releases on November 22 – to coincide with the launch of DOOM Eternal – then you can read the below which was supplied to us in the PR blurb

The vodka itself is an organic wheat base. Once the bones have been roasted and smoked,
the marrow is extracted and macerated in neutral grain alcohol. To extract the best flavour
and the clearest spirit, it’s distilled at a very low temperature in a vacuum still to collect the
essence of what makes this flavour a delicacy.

It’s a drink for vodka lovers – a dry, earthy start on the palate, with wonderful umami and
buttery feel on the tongue, rounding off with a smokey and peppery finish which lingers on
the palate. The vodka is best served ice cold and works great in classic cocktails like
Martinis or your favourite mixer / energy drink. For the hedonistic, try it in a bone marrow
luge.
