PUBG Corporation has today announced that cross-play between Xbox One and PS4 players will be coming to PUBG in October. This follows public server testing of the addition in September. With more people to play against, the aim is for players to have shorter waiting times to find a game.
In addition to the cross-play announcement, more details have also been released for PUBG Season 4. Going live on consoles on August 27, 2019, it brings with it a number of updates. The most prominent of these is the Erangel Visual Update, which mixes up the look of the game’s most iconic map. As well as more realistic scenery and terrain, there are new building styles to explore. What’s more, there are now clues dotted around about the history of the island, for those eagle-eyed players to discover.
Also coming to Season 4 on consoles is Survivor Pass 4: AFTERMATH. This Premium Pass provides players with new missions to try and cosmetic rewards to unlock. There’s also a new progression mechanic called co-op missions, which will allow players to progress by achieving certain milestones together, which in turn will unlock new rewards.
PUBG is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
