With tattoos seemingly a big part of Gear of War’s culture, both in and out of the game, Microsoft is hosting a bunch of Gears Ink events around the world from September 4-6. At the events popping up in LA, London, Berlin, Paris, Mexico City and Melbourne, fans can attend, play the game early and even get custom tattoos based on Gears of War.
At the UK event in London on September 5th, the top tattoo artists will be:
- Clara Sinclair:Based in London, UK, Clara Sinclair is best known for her stunning ornamental tattoos that feature hearts, jewels and filigrees. Clara trained as an oil painter and prosthetic designer before discovering her love for tattooing. Clara is based at Mo Coppoletta’s tattoo shop, The Family Business.
- Matt Pettis:Matt Pettis is a tattoo artist based at Through My Third Eye tattoo studio in London, UK. His blackwork style is a mixture of eye-catching black tint areas with delicate elements. The result is refined, as well as witty and powerful.
- Emma Bundonis:Emma Bundonis is a British tattoo artist based at Through My Third Eye tattoo studio in London. Her style is full of heart-warming monochromatic tattoos with incredible details.

Attendees will be able to get hands-on with Gears 5 too, with modes such as Horde, Versus and the new Escape mode, as well as a first look at Campaign, all five days before the general release of the game.
The event will be livestreamed on Mixer too, for those unable to get to London, starting at 4pm BST.
Gears 5 comes to Xbox One and PC on September 10th, with the Ultimate Edition arriving on September 5th.
