Capcom have released some new info for the upcoming Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. There’s an hour long developer udpate and a trailer going into new details for the expansion. Through both videos you can expect to see monsters, old and new, a deeper dive into Velkhana and a better look at the new Elder Dragon. There’s also some details on what’s available to help players progress and to encourage existing hunters to help out the newbies.
Hunters will be keen to know that two monsters have now been confirmed for Iceborne. The wyvern Brachydios is making a comeback, explosive slime attacks and all! Also confirmed is the new Elder Dragon, Namielle, who hits out with powerful water based attacks.
On top of these monsters is the new flagship monster Velkhana. The ice based Elder Dragon’s breath can create ice pillars to appear on the battlefield which can be used to your advantage and be built into any hunting strategies.
As part of the title update arriving on September 4, players will be treated to a free Guardian Armour set which can be equipped at the beginning of the main World story. The set can be upgraded and will increase defence and skills aimed at helping new players progress through the story.
Lastly, is the new gameplay feature for all players; the Hunter Helper. The main aim for Hunter Helper is to get Low and High Rank players helping each other out. For those High Rank players that do help out your fellow green hunters, you can expect some exclusive in-game Pendants and Trophies.
As always you can find the trailer and developer update a little further down.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will release PS4 and Xbox One on September 6, with the PC release following in January 2020.
